Several people already know this but what got me interested in the Wild West were the comics about Lucky Luke.
Some of them are politically rather incorrect (e.g. Mexicans always sleep and hate to be disturbed whilst taking a nap), but especially in France, Belgium and the Netherlands, Lucky Luke was very popular.

I discovered that someone uploaded English-spoken versions of some of the cartoons on Youtube and I thought I'd share. This particular video has a bit of Sergio Leone in it too. ;)
