Ok, I'm just gonna do this! Here is a link to a long-ago written, mostly forgotten story I found on my computer when I started thinking about doing some writing again, after all these years. I'm pretty sure it's a work in progress because I 'see' so much more that can be done to revise the ending. But I needed to get the ball rolling somewhere.

I really enjoyed this story. Part of it would have fit our January challenge with the prompt Regret. And I agree, you could go further with it, but it's good as is.
