I'm working on a story where I know what's happening a bit down the line, but am a little stuck at the point where I am now. What do you do to get unstuck?

The only thing I've thought of so far is, go ahead and start writing at the point where I'm sure of the story, and backtrack and fill in later. This is the "most important thing to do is keep typing" method.

When stuck, my first preference is brainstorming with a fellow writer. Talking with someone in a chat helps show you what you might not have thought about and gets the creative juices flowing.

My second preference is writing as much as possible then picture different scenarios in your head.  I find closing eyes and an adult beverage helps.

I have used your method, RosieAnnie. I’ve written the scene I had in my head, and then backtracked when the rest came to me.
