Hi InsideOutlaw; I tried to find your story over on FanFiction.Net and couldn't get anywhere. Do you have a direct link to it?

InsideOutlaw just read your story you have on fanfiction called Mail Call. It was really good. Glad Heyes and Kid could help out Luke's family even it Heyes did get shot. Love the ending though where Heyes told Kid they were going to on the mining company. If anyone can do it it will be those two the Devil's Hole Gang riding along to help. Keep up the good work on your stories. Can't wait to see more from you.

I really enjoyed this tale of double dealing and angst. Heyes managed to stay one step ahead of the dodgy banker and the last line showed that not only did he holda grudge, but the story has room to be continued. I hope you write about the payroll job, hint hint.

Ooooh, a cliffhangar? Don't be upset, but I think I'll wait for the conclusion to be posted before diving in. These cliffhangars have a tendency to make me lose my beauty sleep, and at this point in life, I need all the beauty sleep I can get!

I totally understand, RosieAnnie. I like to have the complete story before I start myself. I am just finding out with the longer stories that it's easier to proof and post them in sections.

That said, Chapter Two is posted. Chapter Three is on its way. Thanks for reading my stories!

InsideOutlaw - I really enjoyed these chapters. You've got the tension building nicely, even after they've found some sanctuary at Robber's Roost. Morgan clearly can't be trusted. Looking forward to more soon. applause

PostSubject: Lindy-Apologies   Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:50 pm

Hi All, I apologize for this, but I've decided to re-work the ending to my story. I had some valuable feedback that convinced me that I need to expand on it. I will finish it as quickly as possible.
Thanks and again, I apologize. I hope I didn't mess anyone up. IO

I haven't read the story yet so it's fine by me. Very Happy I was waiting until it was completely finished. Guess it was a good thing I'm behind on reading ASJ fanfic!

PostSubject: Lindy-Chapter 11 redux   Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:28 pm

I just posted the new and improved Chapter 11 and thanks to a good (well deserved) kick in the keister I now have ideas for several more chapters. So it will take me a bit longer to wrap it up properly.

Thanks for being patient with me.

I think you made the right decision, too. And you are not the only writer who ever chose to rewrite something. You're in some pretty good company!

•If it sounds like writing, I rewrite it.
(Elmore Leonard, Newsweek, April 22, 1985)

•I have rewritten--often several times--every word I have ever published. My pencils outlast their erasers."
(Vladimir Nabokov, Speak, Memory, Random House, 1966)

•There's no reason you shouldn't, as a writer, not be aware of the necessity to revise yourself constantly. More than a half, maybe as much as two-thirds of my life as a writer is rewriting. I wouldn't say I have a talent that's special. It strikes me that I have an unusual kind of stamina. I can rewrite sentences over and over again, and I do. . . .

And I think what I've always recognized about writing is that I don't put much value in so-called inspiration. The value is in how many times you can redo something.
(John Irving, National Book Award Interview, June 3, 2005)
