Interesting early stories, mainly of crime, from the Silverton, Colorado Standard, a newspaper which still exists today. I thought you might be interested, from a historical viewpoint. Note the 1881 murder of a marshal, and what happens if another poker player thinks you've been cheating.

Very interesting articles, RA! It read like an oater plot complete with a lynch mob. One point really struck me--the man who was shot through the wall. I bet that happened more often than not since a lot of the old places had little or no insulation. Silverton was wild (and still is by some accounts).
