| Check here for anything new - be it a video or stories or chitchat.
=====================
Do you like ASJ music videos? There are a few good ones on www.youtube.com. Just search for Alias Smith and Jones, but be careful for the Alas Smith and Jones videos.
Some of my favorites are:
Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi - video by Kassidy Rae at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ5iu1y0oBY
Me and My Gang by Rascal Flats - video by YLJedi at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi_O4VYdluw
Fox on the Run by Sweet - video by Midnightangel50 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2YWyibG2wg
Radiogaga80 HAD a great Kid video to music called Zebra and another great video with snippets called Partners for Six Years, but the videos got pulled for some reason. If you know radiogaga80, ask if she has the videos on another site.
Hope you enjoy them!

Ben Murphy's official web site has a great new look. There are pictures of him at a fan get-together in New Orleans in April 2009. There is a very nice picture of Ben under FAQ, too. Check it out at http://www.benmurphyfans.com/

New to Youtube (added June 20, 2009) is the Dick Cavett segment on ASJ - the best quality and the longest I've seen. Check it out at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3WyqsPVkXY Never seen this one before - shows Monty giving Dick Cavatt gun shooting lessons and Cavatt in make-up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImhNVzjyBJc This one shows the scene being filmed and the close up shots of Cavatt (can hear Ben and Pete offscreen saying their lines
Enjoy!

From Missyblu / Coronado:
Penski,
Thanks so much for those links to YouTube. I've watched alot of the YouTube clips but haven't looked for any new ones lately.
I especially love the first one where Pete is smoking as they're running through the rehearsal.
=========================
There's a wonderful new video on youtube.com using the song Simple Gifts. Heyes sings it the first time and then a version be Jewel sing throughout the rest of the video. Very well done with great clips of our favorite former outlaws. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. You can find it here:

From Frankie:
I know who radiogaga is and I know she started another site but she has lost interest in ASJ so I don't think she re-posted them. I have got Zebra on my old PC but have no idea how to share it with anyone! I think another person on this site has it also - or did.
You're right Penski - it's a great vid and I can highly recommend the album by the John Butler Trio that the track comes from!
=========================
From Sariya:
Hi
I've got Zebra and Partner of Six Years but like Frankie have no idea how to make copies or send it on. I had to compress them as they are large files.

The Alias Smith and Jones Image Library has been recently updated with pictures from How to Rob a Bank in One Hard Lesson and new pictures from The Day They Hanged Kid Curry.
The site's link is:http://www.framecaplib.com/asjlib.htm#episodes

From Kwiltn I found one of the best music ASJ videos ever. I hope this link works. If not, the song is Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne. Love this one because it somehow shows flashbacks to H&C's childhood, though I don't know what shows that footage was from.

From Max
Awwwww - thanks Kwiltn. Sniffle!! (I think bits of the flashbacks - the bits riding into town, and in the river - were from that John Wayne film 'The Cowboys' - but only guessing.)
=========================
From Frankie ASJ
I think you're right Max - clever clogs!
=========================
From Remuda
Great video -- thanks for the link, Kwiltn! Some of the flashbacks, I think those that are supposed to represent Heyes as a boy, are from The Rifleman, and the boy is Johnny Crawford, who played Chuck Connor's son, Mark McCain. And I think you're right about The Cowboys, Max. All in all, I really enjoyed it! _________________ h "Do you ever get the feeling that nothing right is ever going to happen to us again?" - Kid Curry

| Caroline, I get the same message regarding the video's not being available because the account has been terminated.
Enjoyed a few others, though, while I was clicking away looking. Especially love the "Keep Holding On" one with the flashbacks to the Rifleman and Cowboys. |

| Hi, just reading former posts to get to know you all a bit. Although this looks like a closed topic, I cannot resist sharing a video with you all. The song is Renegade by the Styx and the video was made by RHCinderella. The timing is perfect! Film fragments and sound, even the spoken quotes help tell the story and do not trouble the flow of the song. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQNsZ2GCiGQIt fits like Kid's gloves |

| I really love the video with the Avril Lavigne song - thanks for posting it! As for my own videos: there were quite a few but I got into trouble with youtube over the use of the songs. With one video they demanded that I gave permission to a (I think it was) Sony advert being placed next to the vid. That was fine by me but then 2 other videos were muted without warning. Since it's too cold to go outside, I'll look into ways of putting them back up on my own website - will keep you posted on proceedings. :) ETA: Well, most vids are back online but I discovered that, as a newbie, I have to wait a week before I can post the link. Guess y'all have to wait. |
