The first of three programmes, 'Mountains', is on BBC 4 next Thursday, 22nd May at 9.00pm

Beautiful scenery!
The majority of the programme was about the journeys of the pioneers across the three mountain ranges.
In the latter part Mears went to a deserted gold mining town that Heyes and Kid could have visited. It had some original buildings and many original artefacts that were left behind when the residents moved on.

I'm watching and really enjoying this too, Christina...
I should, of course, be milking it for plot bunnies, but just drinking in how gorgeous it all looks.

Loved both programmes. Beautiful scenery. Loved Ray in a cowboy hat Bunnies scribbled as I watched.

What's not to like? - Wild West and Ray Mears! Watching on IPlayer , hoping for some bunnies to show themselves!
