Has anyone else read these two?
I just finished them.

Before I comment wanted to see what others thought

I have read all six of Brian Cox's books and did so when they first came out. Have not read them since.

If memory serves he spelt Heyes as Hayes?
And the boys were not very sympathetic characters. Did not seems anything like the television versions we were watching at the time.

I read "Dead Ringer" many years ago, have forgotten the story.

I do have a copy of "Outlaw Trail" though. In the spirit of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", I will say that I believe he actually did spell the boys' names correctly.

I kept wondering if other names had been erased and theirs filled in as I read the stories. For westerns their pulp reads. But the family lines were odd. The character facts at times reversed. And I never thought ofKidas thinking of Heyes not as Heyes, his cousin or pal but as Hannibal Heyes everytime as if the whole name was a character I itself. I also found myself frequently saying, "they'd never do that." All in all glad i got them cheap but on a perverse level and oddly enough I enjoyed them some too. What out of curiosity were the titles to the other three?
