| Hopefully, everyone in the path of the ice storm stays safe and warm(and they don't have to go outside!). I've read there will be power outages; keeping fingers crossed that doesn't happen. _________________ I read part of it all the way through. Samuel Goldwyn

| Here in Wichita we are okay. It is actually too cold to do much of anything. I have been talking to Helen West and she is worried about the ice headed her way. She believes she will be without power before it is through from what their weather channels are saying. So for her and all the others who are in the path of the storm I do hope very best for each and everyone of you. _________________ Wichita Red, "I'm not really a rebel, but I take chances. | It sounds like a bad one. Here's hoping the weather guessers are overstating the possibilities. _________________ "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing badly."

| Okay, so we got a foot of snow and it's -5 this morning (and we live in a warm spot). My sarcastic BFF from Bend, Oregon, just sent me the following. I'm sure the boys at Devil's Hole could relate!:
WYOMING POEM
It’s winter in Wyoming and the gentle breezes blow, Seventy miles an hour At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Wyoming When the snow is up to your butt. You take a breath of winter And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful So I guess I’ll hang around. I could never leave Wyoming 'cuz I'm frozen to the ground. _________________ *****************

| Those of you in the Midwest as well as Hanna in Kentucky: I hope you all stay safe, warm, and with electricity as this storm goes through your region! Those in the West: Wishing the same for you, too! (And thanks for the poem, IO!)
Here in usually chilly New England, we've gotten a little rain, dustings of snow, dense fog last night and...temps of almost 50F! But some snow is forecast for Sunday going into Monday, just in time for the morning commute. Yippee.

| Thanks for the concern. At the moment we have loads of ice, but I personally am lucky enough to still have power. I am ready to lose it at any time, but the precipitation has stopped. I hope everyone is safe and warm. Take care! HW | |

| Keep warm, keep safe, and cuddle up to read about your two favorite reforming outlaws! (Or write some more!) (Love the poem, IO!) _________________ Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.

| Here we ended up with a nice collection of weather, ice, snow, and alot of rain. Flooding was the main problem where I live. But all's better now :)
Love the poem IO! _________________ Come to the dark side.....we have cookies... | |

| Wow, I looked out and saw that almost all the ice from a week ago is gone. Well, not in my backyard, but I have a lot of trees. When I tried to buy icemelt even today, they were still all out. Hope all is well in other areas around the world. HW | |

| The Netherlands are such a small country but it always amazes me how different the weather can be. Last night, my aunt (who lives 145 km further north) reported she walked the dog in the snow. Down here in the east, we had torrents of rain last night and this morning, it's cold but the sun is out. I just saw some photos of the north and they definitely have a couple of centimeters of snow... I hope the snow stays away though. |
