| I set aside some time for writing this morning, but was having a little trouble getting started, so I used the old "let the dictionary flop open" trick in hopes of generating something. My word of the day is ...get this: Hysteroscope. Are you kidding me?! Hysteroscope?! What is a hysteroscope anyway? Oh...wait, I have a dictionary. It says: Hysteroscope - An endoscope used for hysteroscopy. Thanks a lot for the help, Mr. Webster. I googled. Hey BeeJay, how about putting a pic of THAT one on your Wet Paint medical instrument page? What's that you say? I should write a challenge about the boys using THAT word anyway? Nope, not touchin' that one with a ten foot hysteroscope. _________________ Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.

| Good luck with that, Grace! As soon as I saw 'hyster' in your word I knew you were in trouble. I don't think I could put that on my Dental instrument page as it applies to the opposite end of the body. I think you need to purchase a used 1880s dictionary for your dictionary flop open trick. Thanks for the laugh. _________________ I read part of it all the way through. Samuel Goldwyn | |

| I saw this brief conversation and wondered, how do we get hysterical, then? What about hysteria? Does the word originate in the nether regions? Is that why . . . hysterectomy? Friday night, enjoying an adult beverage, and wondering strange things. . . (Actually, I'm like this on any given day; I just have some excuses for this behavior right now. ) _________________ "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing badly."

| According to Webster's Dictionary the origin of the word "hysteria" is from the latin hystericus and the Greek "hysterikos", from "hystera" meaning "womb" from the Greek notion that hysteria was unique to women due to disturbances in the womb. |

| The book flopped open to “hysteroscope” And Grace shied away – uh uh, no way, nope! Ex-outlaws don’t fit it No, not for a minute! Time to chase the hare again down the slope.
But alas, what does one do for a bunny – Serious, angsty, hurt/comfort, or funny? Idioms often spur something Phrases, clichés, might the bell ring For new tales of our boys: dimpled and gunny.
