Roll up, roll up.

Once again it is time to show your appreciation for ALL the writers by voting the famous - nay, infamous - yellow bandanna poll. AND to show your especial appreciation for whichever story particulary tickled your fancy Laughing or twanged at your heartstrings... No

I know, I know - hard choice.

A certain couple of ex-outlaws cigar cigar have asked me to pass on their hugs and a promise of chocolate delivery to everyone who took part this month. They say no one can hold a TORCH to the unbridled genius (and flattering attention coming their way) displayed on this Board!!

Not an easy topic - but sheesh, did we get some good takes on it.

applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause

(Hannah's trio of stories are not in the poll - she is busy ironing the bandanny for the next gal!!)

Congratulations!! NM131 -- it was an excellent story, well deserving as I'm sure the boys will tell you when they arrive. I hope you have some fireflies for them to chase when they get there.

SisterGrace -- also an excellent story, congratulations.

thankyou bump What a surprising welcome back!!! Thanks - I think you all are voting for the lightening bugs and your own childhood memories but I'm not complaining.

I'll have a nice cold beer, a good meal with pie for dessert, bubble baths  rubberducky and warm beds waiting. I'm sitting here sipping my lemonade and Firefly sweet tea vodka in celebration.

grouphug Thanks again for the bandanna and Grace, too bad you're a kidette 'cause I don't share well. I can send Heyes, with chocolate, in consolation.

P.S. I grew up calling them lightening bugs but I don't know if that is a northern NJ thing since most people I know from other places call them fireflies, which I will admit has a nicer sound to it.

CONGRATULATIONS, NM131!!!

I'm sure you'll enjoy lots of lazy, hazy August evenings with the boys, sitting on the front porch watching the sun go down, the fireflies flitting around, the mosquitoes biting and the bats swooping down and around. Oh, you'll be inside instead, you say? Well, that could be enjoyable, too!
