Hi,

I've just posted a new Abi story on wetpaint, called 'The Nature of the Beast.' It's on the Sarah Whyment page.

Silverkelpie -- Wow!!! I was definitely not expecting that ending! I'm reeling in the comfy chair. If this is the penultimate, what kind of shockers do you have in mind for the final chapter?

Thanks for all your kind comments. She had to go, you know. She was never meant to be such a long series. I wrote the end over a year ago but didn't post it because I was encouraged to keep these stories going in chat. I'm doing a re-write on the last one now so it shouldn't be too long before I post it.

Yes, well, it's very good of you to accede to the wishes (demands?!) of your fans! Thanks for being considerate enough to give us more Abi stories. I certainly understand your desire to move on and I look forward to reading more of whatever you decide to write post-Abi.

SK, as I told you in chat, I'm sorry to hear that Abi won't be around much longer as a character, but thanks again for keeping her going as long as you did -- she had a good run, especially as you didn't intend to keep writing her. Will read the latest later in the week when time is more a friend than foe. Want to savor the finale. She will be missed.

Aww, thanks, Folks. You're making me feel guilty now, but in reality, she could only be around for so long before they decided to go straight - and we all know she wasn't around for that!

Okay, the last chapter of the Abi stories is now on wetpaint.

Many thanks to those of you who have read and commented, and the support of my wonderful Beta for all her help.

Silverkelpie, congratulations. I have not read the final story yet, and will leave comments on wetpaint when I do. I just wanted to say thank you, for the hours of entertainment you've provided. And congratulations, for this fascinating series of stories, and for Abi, a unique and fascinating character. I hope you feel proud of your achievement. And, from the reader's viewpoint, I hope you feel enough energy to start writing again!

Thank you for all your kind comments, and I'm so glad that I still managed to spring a few surprises on you. I was worried that the final story might be a bit predicatable. thankyou

Lovely last Abi story! (I haven't gotten to read them all yet...I like to read the ending first lol). Abi was the perfect match for Heyes. I could really feel the anguish both felt in that last argument. And then the tie-in challenge story, I was screaming in my mind for Heyes to tell Anya who he really was. Too bad this is the last...? ;)

I commented on the other site, but I thought that maybe another comment could tempt you to tell us how Anya meets her father. This was a wonderful series. I read someone saying you have a Heysian mind - and that's why Heyes is a genius in your stories. You give him complex and difficult plots to unravel. Thanks for giving us Abi, and I do wish you well in whatever you choose to write next

I wasn't sure what page to post this on, but the next chapter of Keays and my joint story is now posted on Wetpaint. It's called Dark Corners.
